“This is a Homebrew Podcast”
A phrase Tyrell has announced at the beginning of so many episodes that you probably do not even notice it anymore. What does that mean, though? What is a “Homebrew Podcast”? It has been a little bit confusing, for sure, and that’s why we’re taking some steps to simplify the Homebrew Network brand so that we can more easily work towards our goals as a network and as content creators. Over the last two years, The Homebrew - A D&D Play Podcast has risen in the ranks at a rate we’d never anticipated. We’ve grown to hundreds of thousands of downloads and breached the top 10 of the Game’s Charts. We have (literally) one of the best Discord servers I’ve ever been involved with, pushing 1000 members. You’ve heard the name on the likes of NADDPOD and Dungeons and Daddies. Every time I get the notification of a new patron, I still feel such a deep, deep gratitude for the amazing support from everyone. It’s been a wild, wild ride, and it’s time to stop, take stock, organize, and get ready for the next climb.
To that end, we are expanding the network’s support of our amazing shows: The Kaleidosphere and Power Word Fail, as well as setting a new standard for what it means to be a Homebrew Podcast.
What’s Changing:
“The Homebrew” Discord server is now The Homebrew Network Discord.
The Homebrew Patreon account is now The Homebrew Network Patreon, and you can support ALL network shows directly, gaining access to not only Leomund’s Tiny Chat but now OnlyFins and Power Word Chill (Kaleidosphere & Power Word Fail After Shows) as well. You can even pick which cast does your shout-out skit!
The Homebrew’s Twitter, IG, and Facebook will become “The Homebrew Network” social media accounts, and Power Word Fail and The Kaleidosphere will be closing their social media accounts.
Wait, you have other shows?
Exactly.
What’s NEXT?
The Homebrew Network’s primary goals are straightforward: (1) We aim to publish a top-tier quality show with the best cast and creators we can find, free to listeners, every night of the week by the end of 2023 (2) be publishing in other mediums by the end of 2024 and (3) grow our patronage to the point where we can support more people working for the network full-time in the next 6-12 months.
To that end, I’m proud to announce we will officially be over the halfway mark on November 14th with the launch of World Weavers - D&D Actual Play… which is a show 4 out of 7 nights! Not only is this new show introducing new cast members (and bringing back some of your favorites), but it will be LIVE on YOUTUBE on Mondays at 4 PM PST // 7 PM EST!
